As members of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR), we have proven our lineage to people who served in the Revolutionary War.  To be more specific, service includes patriotic service, civic duties, military functions, etc.  As long is there is documentation to support that service and you are a female bloodline descendant, then you are eligible to become a member of the DAR.  If you are interested in learning more about the organization and what it stands for, and you think that you may be eligible, please contact Marion Spaulding via .  We have members who will be happy to assist you in tracing your ancestors to determine your eligibility.

It is important to note that membership eligibility is not limited to military service.  Many people participated in different ways during the Revolutionary War, so don’t feel limited in the scope of your search. There was civic service and patriotic service, in addition to military service, so those should not be overlooked. Men, women, blacks, whites, and Native Americans can be researched for eligibility of service, as well as other ethnicities.
